Ministry Update: The Edge UC

Tomorrow, Thursday August 28th, we are starting a new outreach service on the campus of the National University of Singapore. It will be called "the edge uc" ("the edge" is what our youth service is called and the uc is for university campus) To our knowledge there has never been a local church service meeting on the campus ever before. This has been something that's been on Jeremy and my heart for a few years now and we are seeing it come to place real soon now. It's been a burden on our hearts to reach out to the university students of Singapore right where they are at, on the university campus. So starting tomorrow we'll be launching a weekly service for the students of NUS. We have a cell group that has been meeting on campus for the last month or so and we've been doing weekly evangelism on the campus for the last couple months. We've made over 100 contacts on the campus and really have received a positive response when we tell them that we're starting a service on the campus. So, needless to say, we're VERY excited for what is going to happen and to see what God's going to do. Our youth ministry is also very excited as this is the only other 'youth' service that we've started since starting "the edge" back in 2001. This is a whole different thing though as it's outreach oriented. It's not a service for all our university guys, it's specific to reach out to the NUS campus and see God do an amazing thing there. So, we would appreciate all of your prayers as we venture out in this new way. Pray for Jeremy as he leads the team, pray for the team as they talk to different students, pray for favor with both students and faculty, pray for God's anointing to be in each service, and pray for SALVATION among the students.

Yep, I'm going to blog!!!

Hey everyone, with all that goes on over here in Singapore and with all the people that I try to keep in touch with, I thought it would be good to have a Seaward family blog. This way you can always check in and see what the latest happenings are and see the latest pictures as well. I'll try to keep this updated with the latest of our personal family news as well as what's happening in our ministry here in Singapore. So, keep checking back for all the updates.
